Mary Collins is co-author of At the Broken Places: A Mother and Trans Son Pick Up the Pieces. Bernardine “Dine” Watson won the 2023 Washington Writers’ Publishing House prize for nonfiction for Transplant. And the forthcoming Damaged People by Joe McGinniss Jr. is a memoir about the novelist’s famous father, himself, and raising a son.
